At Cape Kids Foundation, we believe every child and young person deserves the chance to reach their full potential. Through tailored education programmes, mentorship, and life skills support, we empower determined yet under-served young people to grow in confidence, achieve their academic and emotional goals and to dream big. Our work is guided by integrity, friendship and the belief that every young life matters.
WHAT WE DO
At Cape Kids Foundation, we focus on education, mentorship, and personal development. Guiding our learners towards the best version of themselves, whether they are in our Play Centre or in our Post Graduation Programme. We include the student’s family, partnering with other NGO’s and independent service providers to ensure an effective wrap-around programme resulting in family and/or community growth.
OUR PROGRAMMES
Each programme is crafted to help children grow, learn, and reach their full potential.
Application forms are available within each programme for download and online submission.
Each programme is a stand-alone offering, and completion does not guarantee entry into the next programme.
Our programmes are offered at no cost to the students and their families.
OUR APPROACH
Every child is unique. Our support grows with each child, combining care, education, and emotional support from early childhood through to adulthood.
From our Play Centre to our Tertiary Programme each student receives a personalised learning plan and academic support to build confidence and skills.
Each student is assigned a mentor - a trained adult who provides guidance, encouragement and positive role modeling.
We have 3 Counsellors, an Education Psychologist, an Occupational Therapist and a Reading Specialist dedicated to each student's wellbeing and success.
Students attending Alex School through to the Tertiary Programme are invited to live within our safe and supportive residential community.
We encourage and respect the power of family - inviting families to discussions and workshops. Offering emotional counselling and family support if necessary.
