CKF's Learning Programme
We typically begin our learning programme when the student is 14 years old.
The accepted students will start the1 year Alex School Foundation Programme and
then progress to the 3 year Alex School Supported Online Learning Programme.
Once the student has passed Matric we offer further studies at a College, University, Trade School, or Short Courses.
We conclude our journey with the student with the Post Graduation Programme.
Year 1
Alex School -
Foundation Programme
In the first year the student will focus on foundational work in English and Maths through concrete experiential learning. We also begin their mental and emotional well-being journey by matching them with a mentor and wellness counsellor.
Class size is a maximum of 12 students - the same 12 students will journey through the entire CKF Learning Programme together.
Years 2, 3 and 4
Alex School -
Supported Online Learning
For the next 3 years the students attend online classes with our teachers close at hand to offer academic support, tutoring and to accompany them on educational day trips and excursions. During Years 3 and 4 we begin our Senior Prep Programme (SPP) which introduces the students to life skills and career workshops as well as job shadowing etc.
Years 5 onwards
College, University,
Trade School or Short Courses
After 4 years of Alex School, our students have a good understanding of what interests them and what career avenues they would like to explore. We assist them with applying to tertiary institutions and support them with tutoring, time management skills, job shadowing and internships.
